Council Delegates
This committee is responsible for:
- attending Denton PTA Council meetings regularly
- providing reports back to the Adkins PTA
- serving as liaison between Denton PTA Council and Adkins PTA

Website
This committee is responsible for:
- annual updates to the PTA website (refresh contact info, refresh recurring dates, etc.)
- updating the PTA website on a regular basis for upcoming events, etc.
- ensuring the calendar on the website is current
- preparing reports from event registrations and sales for other committees as requested
- updating, monitoring and engaging with Adkins PTA social media accounts

Classroom Coordinator
This committee is responsible for:
- recruiting Classroom Coordinators for each class
- recruiting Classroom Coordinators for specials teachers (as requested)
- serving as primary means of communication and liaison between the PTA Board and the Classroom Coordinators

Adkins Yearbook
This committee is responsible for:
- organizing content for the yearbook
- collecting pictures and information
- overseeing the cover design contest
- submitting all information to the publisher
- managing yearbook orders
- distribution of yearbooks

Newsletter/Communications
This committee is responsible for:
- communication from PTA to the membership/parents
- creating and distributing a regular newsletter with PTA updates
- working with the school administration and PTA Website Chair to coordinate distribution of information
- creating and distributing updates (sometimes daily) during special events
- updates the PTA bulletin board on a regular basis (located in the main hallway)

Volunteer Coordinator
This committee is responsible for:
- collecting, maintaining and reporting all volunteer hours to the District
- creating Sign Up Geniuses for all PTA events (details provided by event/program chair)

- recruiting volunteers for PTA events

This committee is responsible for:
- planning and executing the Welcome Back coffee social on the first day of school
- planning and executing the Meet the Teacher social and meal

This committee is responsible for:
- planning and executing mom & me events throughout the year
Dad & Me Events
- planning and executing dad & me events throughout the year
Outdoor Learning Center
This committee is responsible for:
- working with Adkins’ staff to maintain and update the OLC
- organizing events and programs to support the OLC
- oversight of brick paver orders and installation

Flight Crew
This committee is responsible for:
- oversight of the Adkins Flight Crew program
- planning and executing Flight Crew events
- liaison between Adkins PTA and Adkins adminstration
After School Programs
This committee is responsible for:
- identifying programs Adkins PTA can bring on campus for after school (paid by parents) programs
- coordinating and planing after school programs
- liaison between programs and Adkins administration
Family Breakfasts
This committee is responsible for:
- coordinating and executing family breakfast events throughout the year
- Grandparents Breakfast
- Muffins with Mom
- Donuts with Dad
Movie Nights
This committee is responsible for:
- coordinating and executing spirit nights with a local movie theater
Santa Event
This committee is responsible for:
- coordinating and executing an event with Santa
Art & Talent Showcase
This committee is responsible for:
- coordinating and executing an art and talent showcase for all students (optional participation)
Fundraising
Book Fairs
This committee is responsible for:
- planning the two Book Fair events
- coordinating with school administration and library staff regarding dates, set up, etc.
- decorating and set up of the library for book fair
- managing the use of earned Scholastic Dollars
- providing communication details about the event to the Communication, Website and Classroom Coordinator Chairs for distribution

- ordering appropriate quantities of shirts and other spirit wear items
- managing the physical inventory for spirit wear
- providing communication details about the spirit wear items to the Communication, Website and Classroom Coordinator Chairs for distribution
- includes any deadlines, sizes and styles, photos of items, pre-order requirements, sale prices, etc.
- ensuring spirit wear is available at major events prior to school and throughout the year

Passive Fundraising
This committee is responsible for:
- providing communication details about the various rewards programs we participate in to the Communication, Website and Classroom Coordinator Chairs for distribution

- working with the Specials teachers to utilize the funds from the programs
- managing any incentive programs for submitting to the rewards programs

Brick Pavers
This committee is part of the Outdoor Learning Center and is responsible for:
- encouraging the purchase of brick pavers, especially during events and at the end of school
- providing communication details about the brick pavers to the Communication, Website and Classroom Coordinator Chairs for distribution
- includes date and times, registration/ticket/product sales information and details of the event
- working with the brick vendor, submitting orders, ensuring delivery and installation

Fun Run / Healthy Lifestyles
This committee is responsible for:
- planning and executing the Fun Run portion of Adkins’ Field Day
- securing sponsorships
- determining and securing prizes for individual student fund raising awards

Staff Hospitality
This committee is responsible for:
- working with the school administration to obtain the “teacher favorites” lists from all staff
- providing small treats throughout the year to all Adkins teachers/staff
